I much prefer these to the separate pads as you can slip them on when in a hurry and be reassured that the pads are in the right place and will stay there.

They are a good fit - very comfy and do not restrict your ability to move. The padding is thinner than the pads you buy separately, so will only offer a basic level of protection. Though this does have the advantage that they are discreet enough to wear on the way to the rink without getting odd looks.

The pads are easy enough to remove when you want to wash the shorts, but are a little more tricky to get back in. You'd want to make sure you got them ready the night before!
